Mary’s Memory

My heart is broken…

I have known Irma since we met in Jr. High. It was true friend at first sight. We clicked, we could trust each other with our darkest teenage secrets, of course they always involved boys.

Truthfully, Irma showed me what to expect from a friend. We were besties as they say now. We did everything together. We had a lot of fun through high school, staying in and out of trouble. We made so many memories together that will always be cherished.

Irma was one of a kind. She was light and laughter, she was brilliant and beautiful, she was confident and sweet, she was strong and sensitive, she was kind and loyal. On top of that, she had the best hair!

Our lives took different directions and the times we got together became fewer and further between. But, when we were able to connect it was as though time had stood still.

“Good friends are like stars. You don’t always see them, but you know they’re always there.”

Irma was taken too early, she was so full of life. When I look at the stars, I’ll remember her and smile.

Keith and I would like to express our sincere condolences to her family.
